Our lovely pool...

This was a blessing from a friend! Someones gave my kids some belated birthday money, and they chose to buy this wonderful pool with the money. It has been a lifesaver more than once in this heatwave!

Happy Birthday to meeeeeee!!!

Happy Birthday to meeeeee....yikes, 30 now...whatever shall I do with myself? Actually, after feeling so much anxiety about actually turning 30, it went pretty well, all said and done. I was chatting with a good friend yesterday, and she said, hey, nowadays, 30's are the new 20's, so live now girl! After all of the pain and frustration of the decade just past, I am thinking, yes, my 30's will be the best! Scary though it sounds, when I turn 40, my daughter will already have graduated from high school and on her way to living her own life. Yiiii, now that's a kick in reality...

I was hinored to be asked to be the maid of honor for my special friend, Deanna Balla in the renewal of their vows just this past Friday night. Emma and her daughter Cassidy were beautiful flower girls, their son Myles the Bible boy, Byron, Dwain's older son stood up for him, and it was just a lovely ceremony. Mark King officiated, John Holmes sang, and we had a great crowd. Deanna was able to experience exactly what she missed 10 years ago, and it was perfect! I will post pictures as soon as they are available.

Happy Birthdays...

Happy Birthday to my cousin Shawn Steinberg-he's 30 today, and being the oldest of the grandkids on my dad's side(by 2 days, so don't think it's a big deal! LOL!) he gets the honor of turning 30 first...hahahaha...

Happy 15th to Cheyenne Le Grande...wow, time has sure flown for you! You were my 15th birthday present that year, as you were born the day before my birthday. I missed your birth by a day or two since I was out of town, and was so disappointed, but I did spoil you rotten! You've grown to be a beautiful woman now, amazing how quickly time passes!

Happy Birthday to Mark Grell...we've pretty much grown up together, having been in the same school grade from when we were quite young...we've had our share of clashes, from crazy crushes(mine on him, to his horror! LOL!) to you pulling out a chair from under me and being embarrassed yourself when I completely lost it and bawled my head off...funny what you remember, isn't it? We have never been close friends, but I am blessed to know you...you are truly an incredible guy! I borrowed your pic from the Singles blog, I hope no one minds!

Ugh, bad heat, and things just fall apart...

Ok, who said bad things happen in three's? I don't like you, whoever you are! LOL! First, my washer just died; the motor and the pump at the same time blew. I still haven't got a new one, almost two weeks later, so hopefully this week...then my fridge just bit the dust on Friday. As of this morning, I lost a whole entire fridge full of food, frozen and otherwise, no kidding. I was almost in tears I was so frustrated. My parents couldn't put anything in their fridge 'cause it's way too small, so I was just unlucky this time...bummer...Good thing I have a ton of rice...LOL! Then I found out only this past week that my ex husband has tried almost successfully to disappear from the child support records office by changing all his info and not reporting it, and not paying any or very little support. Thankfully his family has come forward to report his new job and such so the office will be contacting him quite quickly. Sigh...I can definitely live without all of this business, but they are not going to let him away with it, so I am glad for them. Being in the thousands in arrears is not going to happen! But, things are looking up! God loves me, my babies love me, and I am losing weight! YEA!!!!!

Passion Play in Drumheller

Our Singles group went to the Passion Play in the badlands in Drumheller yesterday. It was an incredible play, very real, but too hot...ugh! It got to about 38 degrees and we all felt it! The nice thing was that we were sitting higher up, so by 5 the shade covered us, and that was such a relief! Nita, Shiloh and I went with Nita's friend Victoria, and we all had such a great day! Victoria admitted she was nervous coming with three church goers, but at the end of the day, she told us she had an awesome day and loved being with us! God is going to do something for that lady! I didn't get to take any pics of the actual play, but got some funny pics of our ride home. We rode in an open top jeep so of course, our hairdos were history from the first minute! Oh well, the price of fun, huh?

A Very Happy Birthday to my beautiful friend, Misty Dawn Hamel!

Happy, Happy Birthday, my dear friend! You are still young, still beautiful and have an even happier future ahead of you! I wish you weren't so far away, but I am glad that we have a bond that lasts even over the distance of space and time! I love you dearly, and hold you in the highest regard. Ok, enough grovelling, can you come visit now? LOL! I meant every word!

Ooops, sorry folks...lapse in time here...

Ok, sorry, but I am so enjoying my summer...as you can tell because I never have time to blog anymore! My dayhome kids are away alot on vacation so I don't even have to take time off, which I couldn't if I wanted too, sigh...I just have one or two kids a day now, which is so easy! It's great and we can go so many places now; Calaway Park, Heritage Park, the waterparks, the Zoo, Science Center, you name it, we are there! My kids and I received passes to most of these places at Christmas last year, so we are using them out! Emma got a new waterslide for her birthday from her Grandma, and the kids love that as well as the huge new pool we got. I like that one...can't handle the heat, jump in!

I have so much more to say, but I really hear my bed calling, so I am off to see it, and I promise to sit down one of these nights and really blog!

Happy Canada Day!

Ok, I really need to find the cord to my digital camera! I have pictures on my camera I really want to keep and I can't upload them on my computer without the cord! Agh! Anyways, Happy Canada Day to everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! Except for the unbearable heat, I did! And, we're going to see up to 35 degrees by Friday? Bye, I am running away! To Vancouver, maybe...hmmm, too much rain...ok, I'll stay, but I am living in front of my fan...
