Monday Mutterings...

I'll try to do more than mutter though! It looks like I am falling behind yet again, but I'm sure you ALL know what life gets like! And then when I do sit down to post, something always comes up...

An update on my previous sister in law, Phyllis Miller-Petersen; they diagnosed her a few weeks back with an auto immune deficiency, which I guess is quite similiar to Lupus. If she gets over tired, she could have a relapse, so they've told her she has to take things slow for, well, the rest of her life. They also found a mass on one of her ovaries and after a hysterectomy this past Friday, they have found it was cancerous, as well as the canser having already spread into the colon. They feel they have gotten 80% of the cancer, and she will be doing the chemotherapy. Other than that, I am not sure what will happen, but I will try to keep everyone abreast of the situation. Please remember her in your prayers.

I have taken on two new dayhome kids, who started today. They will only be with me 4 hours, 2 days a week, but are lovely children, Two brothers, Benjamin is 3 and a half, and they just adopted a little 15 month old from Ethiopia, who is absolutely adorable! The really cool thing about the whole situation is I found out the mom was raised United Pentecostal! They are a part of Pentecostal Assemblies right now, but I was so amazed to find this out and even happier when she asked lots of questions and I was able to share some with her! Who knows that this working friendship doesn't win them back!

Well, my 31 day period for a "change of mind" in my divorce proceedings is up Thursday, May 31st, and then it is only waiting for my order. I am so relieved it is over, a little sad, maybe wishing just a little that things could have been different, but oh so happy to be free from and abusive relationship! God is so good, and I have come this far with His help alone!

Good to see you post again... I am sorry to hear about your sister in-law. God always answers our prayers, sometimes in ways we do not expect.

Love ALicia
