But that's work Mom!!!

My son was having a bath tonight which I have to say is his most favorite thing in the world in the past 6 months or so. One Saturday he had 3, so now you see how much he REALLY likes them! Emma on the other hand I have to pick up and put her in complaining the whole time then...sigh...I can't get her out! Anyways, he was splashing and just causing big time water all over the floor, and his Nana told him if he splashed too much he had to wash the floor after. He excitedly said he would love to wash the floor, and when we gave him the mop he changed his mind really quickly realizing it was, well, work!

Logan is actually going through a growth spurt right now and when I say growth spurt...yiiiii, I can't keep enough groceries in the house for that boy! I remember Sis. Booker saying she would make a big pot of rice extra on top of supper because her boys were always still hungry. Ok, here goes, I think that idea might just be starting to happen here, and he's only four years old! I'll be in the poor house when he's a teenager...but I love him to pieces and would go hungry so my babies could eat. I determined upon becoming a single mom that no matter what it took, even if I could not eat that I would never work outside the home until my children were in school full time, and God has made a way for me to do so and still eat! Yea!!! Not that I need it all, but hey, I share what I have with others and it always comes around.

My family

Emma with her Nana, my boy and I, and Emma with her Papa.

Picture from our Exchange Student

This was at the Sayonara party we had for our Japanese girl. We had such fun with her, and are still in contact with her which is awesome as only one other has stayed in contact with us. Emma was wearing a kimono Kanako had brought with her for Emma, and one for Logan as well.

Stress...extraordinaire

Ok, this was one of THOSE days. Really. Bad. Day. Nope, I didn't lose my holy ghost, but ooooooh Lord, thank you for the restraint it gives a person...sorry, but honestly, I will NEVER, I repeat NEVER take older dayhome kids again, and if I suggest it, slap me upside the head, ok? The babies of which I had 4 today were so good. All of them. The 6 year old boy...he was 10 kids in one, and I have 4 more days of him. Please, Lord, help me this week. Trust me I know He will so I'm ok now. Breeeeaaathe...

Onto good things, I have a miracle to report. My friend, Shannon Brown has been absolutely and miraculously healed of the ovarian cancer she was diagnosed with only a couple months ago! You have to hear her testimony to know everything that goes with the miracle, but that's just what it was. I could not stop weeping in church last night because it brought back memories of when my own brother was healed of cancer. God is SO good.

Life in general

It's almost the end of another loooong week and I am dreading next week! I will have 8, yes 8 kids on Monday and oooohhhh, it should be fun. NOT! Thank God it's only for a week...Then school starts, Emma goes into grade 2, Logan starts kindergarten, and I have 4 dayhome kids to keep me busy, as well as home school Logan for kindergarten. Fun? I should say! I do like what I am doing though so that helps. I have to say too, I will be on my feet more this year with 2 babies, 2 toddlers and a 4.5 year old, so maybe this weight thing will finally be crunched under my feet...literally!

These are just two of my cute little charges. Alexa is the dark one, and Haille the blonde. Aren't they sweet? This picture is a little old, by about 6 months so I really need to get some more...one of these days!!!

30 years!!!

Happy Anniversary to the best parents in the world!!! My mom and dad have been married 30 years today, and I'm sure it has been a looooong haul for them! They love each other as much as they did way back then, in fact I'm sure a ton more, and the patience they have...whew! I hope I have that much when I'm their age!!! Most people at the age of 50 are on their own enjoying their grandkids, but my parents are actually helping raise theirs at this moment in time! I have to say though, they have never complained-in fact they enjoy it! We are hoping to buy a house sometime in the next year, and they will finally get their own plce, space and time to themselves which I am really looking forward to for them...and me! Love you so much Mom and dad! May you have another 30 years together!!! God bless!!!

Love Amy, Emma & Logan

Coming to a Close...

Well, another summer is very quickly coming to an end, and even though I am a little sad to see it go, I am looking forward to what God has in store for my future and that of everyone around me! My baby girl received the Holy Ghost this week and was baptized in Jesus Name and that is just so exciting! She is absolutely thrilled, and talks non-stop about God all day!!! It make me want to weep as I think about how God can use her to bring others, and possibly win our family.

I am beginning another program with a few of the ladies from the church starting this Sunday and I hope this time we can all stick with it, and lose together! Weight that is...

A friend of mine from Ontario is getting married tomorrow! Congratulations Sherri!!! I miss you tons and wish you all the best! With a guy like Kirk, hmmm...lucky you!!!

Camp 2006

Well, here it is already and wow, is it awesome! Camp this year so far is absolutely incredible, and I have to say I feel like alot of it has been straight down my alley! Thank God for God! Does that make sense??? Haha! The Godair brothers are preaching for us, and both are so filled with annointing, it's amazing! A friend in church, Colleen ahs been seeking the Holy Ghost for sometime now and she got it Monday night! What a miracle! Emma's friend Cassidy got it too, and it makes Emma feel left out, so I hope this is her week too. In Jesus Name!

Holiday Monday

Oooh yea, update was definitely needed here. It's called no interent for almost a week though...bummer, but here we go again! Today was so much fun! We took our exchange student to Sikome Lake again, since she loves it so much. Tomorrow is her birthday and also the day she goes home. My kids are not willing to let her go, so it should be a rather wet goodbye!

In the personal department, things are definitely a little slow as I have run into another brick wall called John, but God is in control! Things will work out and all for the best!
